The generosity of our donors has allowed us to do great things in Jenner’s memory

The Invisible String Garden

The Foundation completed the Invisible String Garden at Christ Episcopal Church in Charlotte, NC, in the Fall of 2024. Our first major project, it benefits a community that nurtured Jenner in his life and continues to support our family today. The Invisible String is one of Jenner’s favorite books and serves as a poignant reminder that his spirit remains with us always.

We are thrilled to have a space for children and families of Christ Church, Christ Church Preschool and Kindergarten, and our wider community to remember Jenner. The garden is open to all, and we encourage visitors.

McClellanville, SC Fire Truck

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to help outfit a new, state-of-the-art fire truck for the village of McClellanville and surrounding areas, a part of South Carolina that Jenner enjoyed during summer trips and holidays with family. In appreciation for the Foundation’s support, Charleston County added a prominent emblem to the truck that reads, “Jenner Wood, Always Loved, Forever Remembered.” As a lifelong fire truck enthusiast, we know Jenner looks down proudly on his truck. More information on the truck and the community it serves can be found in this Post & Courier article.

Jenner Wood V Citizen Science Program

We are in awe of the kindness and efforts of the Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) to create a a citizen science program in memory of our sweet Jenner. We look forward to supporting this program in perpetuity.

The citizen science program at Catawba Lands Conservancy seeks to inspire children and adults to explore the outdoors and connect with nature, all while contributing meaningful scientific observations to CLC and scientists around the world. Citizen and community-based science empowers communities to engage in science and research, enhances data collection, and supports conservation efforts.
